Gmail data is used only to provide the features you connect Gmail for. It is never sold and never used for advertising or to train general-purpose AI models. Access tokens are never exposed in API responses, sensitive fields like email addresses and message text are masked in internal views, and raw email body text is not written to application logs. Humans do not read your Gmail data except with your specific consent, for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or to comply with the law. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but these are the safeguards already built into how ThreadLoom handles your data.

It starts with source-backed evidence, then reconstructs your application history into a structured career record. Manual trackers and loose sync tools can miss the messy middle of the search. That middle is full of roleless confirmations, recruiter replies, ambiguous rejections, interview signals, warm outcomes, duplicate records, and status changes buried inside emails. For the initial release, we intentionally focused on reconstructing applications from source-backed evidence instead of asking users to manually build another tracker from scratch. And when a company doesn't send an email confirmation, you can add the role manually with its job URL. ThreadLoom takes it from there — tracking interviews, recruiter replies, and outcomes as they happen, just like an application it reconstructed from your inbox. ThreadLoom begins with what actually happened — confirmations, updates, recruiter messages, interviews, and outcomes — so your tracker starts from evidence, not memory.
